Valencia 2-2 Chelsea: The Blues held to a draw



Chelsea was held to a 2-2 draw against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium in the Chaampions LeagueBoth teams had the chance to break the deadlock in the opening two minutes but they missed the chances, Chelsea had a better ball possession than the home team in the 27th minute.Chelsea was lucky to not concede after Valencia found a way to break the defence line, Kepa Arrizabalaga was on point to deny the home team from going ahead.Valencia went ahead from a deep cross from Rodrigo and a tap in from Soler ensured the home team went ahead in the 39th minute.Mateo Kovacic equalised for Chelsea in 41st minute from a shot outside the box to make it 1-1. Tammy Abraham suffered an injury and was replaced in the second half by Michy Bathshuayi.Chelsea got the second goal via Christian Pulisic in the 50th minute after the much review from the VAR the goal stood.Valencia was awarded a penalty but Dani Parejo missed from the spot as Kepa did well to parried the spot-kick to the side net.Dani Wass scored from a tight angle to make it 2-2 with eight minutes to the goal. The game ended 2-2.
