The head of the State Security Service team that invaded the Abuja Federal High Court on Friday apologised to the judge, Ijeoma Ojukwu, for their action, a witness has said.
PREMIUM TIMES reported how SSS officials invaded the court Friday in a bid to rearrest an activist, Omoyele Sowore.
Mr Sowore had been released Thursday night, after 124 days in detention, based on the order of Mrs Ojukwu.
The SSS in a statement Saturday denied that its officers invaded the court.
It accused Mr Sowore of stage-managing the violence witnessed in the courtroom.
It, however, did not give any reason for rearresting Mr Sowore.
