The General Overseer of Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adebayo, yesterday led his members on a prayer walk to protest incessant insecurity in the country.
Pastor Adeboye during service at the church’s national headquarter at Ebute Meta, Lagos decried the incessant attacks and killings of Nigerians in different parts of the country and directed parishes of the church in a live telecast to participate in the prayer walk.
He prayed to God to send His light to Nigeria to uproot and expose all doers of evil and all those working against the peace of the country. “God sees all things and knows where the terrorists are. We pray for peace and security in our dear nation,” he said.
Members of Living Faith Parish of Redeem Christian Church, Mangoro, Ikeja led by Pastor Bayo Samagbeyi at the end of the church service observed the prayer walk as they walk around the church community carrying placards with different inscriptions including: ‘Every life matter to God’, ‘Shed no blood, it cried to God’, ‘No more bloodshed in Nigeria’, Destruction of lives and properties is not godly’, It is inhuman, don’t take life’ and ‘We say NO to terrorism’ among others.
