Ahead of the Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has condemned what it described as vote buying by proxy by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
The CNPP said that Buhari government must refrain from acts capable of killing the country’s democracy.
This was contained in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu and made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday.
The conference of political parties pointed at the acts benevolence by the Buhari administration during campaign periods, noting that this has gone beyond coincidences to becoming a suspicious vote buying by proxy as is being witnessed in Edo State.
