‘Lagos won’t toy with law and order, legislative reform’


Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), shared his views on the future of the justice sector and the judiciary with select reporters. Legal Editor JOHN AUSTIN UNACHUKWU, ADEBISI ONANUGA and ROBERT EGBE were there.

 

There is this perception among journalists that you are media shy. Do you have any plan to engage the media to propagate your activities in a mutually beneficial way?

I am not media shy. Really I do not know where that is coming from. I will keep engaging the media to propagate activities of the Ministry. Prior to my appointment I have had several interviews on different media platforms to discuss topical legal issues.

I recognise the media as the fourth estate of the realm and would continue to collaborate with the media to achieve justice in the state.
