Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has impounded over 35 vehicles at various entry points into the state for violating the state border closure over COVID-19.
The agency made the arrest after it identified bush routes used by defaulting motorists to access Kano from other states, adding that a total of 350 passengers coming into the state from neighbouring states were forced to return.

It would be recalled that the Kano State Government, Friday, March 27, 2020 closed its borders with other states, with the exception of vehicles carrying foodstuff and medicine into the state without passengers, as a measure of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
