Iheanacho Subbed Off, Ndidi Stars In Leicester Home draw

Kelechi Iheanacho kept his place in Leicester City’s first eleven but was hauled off in the first half for an unsportsmanlike behaviour in the Foxes’ 1-1 home draw against Norwich City on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.

The incident happened in the 35th minute as Norwich lead 1-0. The visitor’s player kicked the ball out of play as their player Emiliano Buendia needed treatment.

On resumption, the ball was thrown to Iheanacho who instead of giving the ball back to a Norwich City player , ran towards the opponentss goal before he was brought down close to the edge of the box, resulting in a free-kick.

Iheanacho’s action did not go down well with the Norwich players as they surrounded him.

Then in the 39th minute Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers replaced the Nigeria international with Demarai Gray.

And at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea suffered back-to-back defeat in the league as they were stunned 1-0 by struggling Bournemouth.

The Blues had lost their last league game following a 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

The goal was initially flagged off for offside, but after consulting the VAR, referee Graham Scott awarded the goal to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth had gone into the game against Chelsea without a win in their last five consecutive games.

Chelsea remain fourth on 29 points in the league table.
