Four nabbed for robbing female tricyclist in Anambra

Police in Anambra state have arrested four suspected tricycle snatchers at a criminal hideout in Oba, Idemili South local government area of the state.

Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who disclosed this in a statement, said the suspects allegedly robbed their victim, Adaobi Obuegbe of her tricycle at Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area.

He said they were arrested by operatives attached to Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), in conjunction with operation Kpochakpu two.

Mohammad gave their names as Chinedu Nwokwu (20 Chukwudi Ezebilo (27), Nwafor Uba (24) and Ugochukwu Ekechi (21).

“Exhibits recovered from them included the robbed tricycle, a locally made double barrel pistol, locally made revolver pistol, 2 rounds of .9mm ammunition, three cartridges and two expended cartridges,” he said.

The PPRO added that two suspected fraudsters were also nabbed at Upper Iweka, Onitsha.
