Four inmates die at NCOS center in Kaduna


The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Kaduna State command, has said that four inmates had died during an attempted jailbreak at the Kaduna Custodial Centre on March 31.

DAILY POST had reported that the inmates were said to have protested over the “outbreak” of coronavirus.

Confirming the death of the inmates, the Controller, Kaduna command, Mr Sanusi Danmusa, told newsmen in Abuja on Saturday that the four inmates died in the hospital from the injuries sustained during the chaos that ensued, while being restrained by the custodial officers from breaking jail.

He said “The attention of the NCoS, Kaduna State command has been drawn to some malicious publications by a section of the media in respect of the attempted jail-break.
