Following the presidential directive that all refugees be returned to Nigeria, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), has said it will start bringing back refugees into the country from February 27, 2021.
The commission also disclosed it has distributed relief materials to displaced person in 15 States in the last three month.
The commission said this while distributing food and non-food items to 1,500 households of Bakassi returnees in Cross River State.
According to a statement by the commission, NCFRMI boss, Basheer Mohammed, also said plans are ongoing to accommodate the refugees in a well- furnished shelter.
