Fast food joint staff, woman, face N948,500 theft charge


A 27-year-old staff of a fast food joint, Faruq Olanrewaju, who allegedly stole his employer’s N948, 500, was on, Tuesday, arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

Olanrewaju was charged alongside a businesswoman, Queen Silas, 40, on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The defendants, who reside at No. 87, Aroloya Street, Off Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island and No. 31, Olayinwola Street, Oworoshoki, respectively, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge preferred against them.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Chinedu Njoku, told the court that the defendants committed the offences between Nov. 30 and Dec. 10 at Bukka Hut in Lekki Phase I, Eti- Osa Local Government area of Lagos.
