At 72, Osakwe is mentor to Ndokwa youths



Two-term senator Chief Patrick Osakwe was 72 on Monday. A one-time deputy chairman of the Senate Committee on Gas, Osakwe was elected to the Senate on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 1999, to represent Delta North Senatorial District.

But he returned to the Senate in 2007 on the platform of Accord Party.

Chairman of Tony Amechi Foundation (TAF) Tony Amechi has felicitated with the man he described as the shining light of Ndokwa politics.

The senator hails from Ugili-Amai in Ndokwa West Local Government of Delta State, and holds the traditional title of Ochiosa 1 of Ndokwa.

Amechi said the septuagenarian was living a life worthy of emulation and would continue to be a role model to the younger generation.
