Former Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Amuneke seeks a new vacant coaching job with the 2012 African Champions Zambia.The 48-year-old who led Tanzania to their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1980, paid the price as Taifa Stars failure to progress to the knock-out stages of Egypt 2019 after finishing bottom of their group with three defeats.

According to Zambia Daily Mail reported that Amuneke is among that over 50 coaches who had applied for the vacant Chipolopolo’s managerial job after the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) looking for a replacement for Belgian Sven Vandenbroeck.
The 1994 African Footballer of the Year, who is a holder of the UEFA Pro License and CAF A License who had previously managed Julius Berger, Ocean Boys FC, Nigeria’s U-17 side, the Golden Eaglets and Sudanese club SC Khartoum, is now seeking a fresh start.The FAZ is reportedly offering N3.6million salary for the job on a renewable two-year contract and Amuneke is expected to battle for the plum job with a notable list of coaches including former Enyimba and Rangers coach Serbian Kostadin Papic who is currently attached with Sihlangu of Eswatini.
